Caribbean Web AwardThe Caribbean Web Award is presented to
exceptional websites that are either created by West-Indians or of Caribbean
interest.
Sites are judged based on Content(6) Originality(3) Usability(5) Design(6) General Layout(5) Sites with an overall score of between 18-25 out of 25 will receive
the gold award, sites with an overall score of between 14-17 will receive
the silver award. Criteria:
Websites should be complete; sites with more than 2-3 pages
under construction will not be awarded. The site must be designed by a West-Indian or be related to
the Caribbean in some way. If the graphics are not original then credit must be given
to the respective owner/creator (does not apply to generic graphics e.g.
'under construction' or 'enter'. Site must be easy to navigate. The judge(s) will not spend
all her/his time figuring out how to get from one page to the next. Sites which promote racism, violence or pornography need not
be submitted. Colours must be pleasing to the eye, in other words no
'blinding' backgrounds etc. Content: A good looking site is not enough, the site must
contain something of substance. Only the top sites are chosen, so whomever wins this award knows
that his/her site is truly one of the best Caribbean Sites on the web.
